Bedazzling Christmas at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Before we knew it Santa is back singing out loud " HoHoHo I am Back"! Christmas 2012 is just days away and many shopping Malls already decorated with beautiful Christmas theme to draw shoppers and visitors in. A week ago we saw the almost completed Christmas decoration at The Curve mall but we had no photos because it was not lighted yet at that time.

We were at the Bukit Bintang area running some chores and decided to drop by the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for lunch. The Pavilon Mall 2012 Christmas decoration looked more vibrant and upbeat than what we remembered last December. The theme for 2012 is Bedazzling Christmas.

A Bedazzling Christmas means lots of sparkles, blinking lights, things that impress, shine and blind you. That is exactly what you can expect with blinking Christmas trees, lots of lightings and a giant chandelier. You will find something more than that as well. There are lots of crystals - thanks to Swarovski Crystal Co., the key player behind this year's Bedazzling Christmas theme.

Every year Pavilion Mall's Christmas decoration seems to circle around a fairy tale, wonderland and magical moment. This year is no different either;  I guess they want to mesmerise  shoppers into a wonderland and drown them into a shopping frenzy.  Pavilion Kuala Lumpur being the leading premium shopping mall in the city, isn't that what they need to do to maintain their lead?

Christmas is also a season to be jolly for little children too.  To that, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has set up something special for the them so their papa and mama can shop in peace. The Magical Train rides around the beautiful Christmas tree bedazzled with blinking decorations are sure to keep them fascinated as well.

The star of the Bedazzling Christmas theme at Pavilion KL is a Crystal Carriage sitting  on top of a gazebo at the Centre Court. According to Pavilion Mall and Swarovski Crystal this huge glittering Crystal Carriage is beautified with 5000 crystal elements. However no body is counting them because Pavilion mall is not giving any price for the winner. Instead you can win some attractive prices counting the crystal stars and snowflakes in a sparkling Christmas Tree located at Couture Pavilion at level 2.

For lunch we had a very satisfying meal at Ichiban Boshi with some "bedazzling" Shashimi.   By the way, Ichiban Boshi is one of our preferred diner when we are at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.  This is our first visit since their reopening after a major renovation in October.

Our memory is still fresh with the photo session of Majestic Dragon of the Pavilion Mall.  But time flies and that a year has past.  Soon we will be in the Lunar Year of the Snake and bid farewell to the Dragon Year. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is the world's longest and highest pedestrian glass bridge located at Zhangjiajie National forest Park in northern Hunan, China, also referred as the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass bridge. Zhangjiajie Glass bridge was officially opened to visitors on August 20, 2016. The Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is 385 meters (1263 feet) long and 6 meters (20 feet) wide. The height of the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is 300 meters (984 feet) above the canyon floor. The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass bridge is designed by renowned architect and poet, Professor Haim Dotan. His design concept of the bridge is an Invisible Bridge that blends in with nature and harmonise with Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass bridge taken from the amphitheater in poor weather with rain and fog over the canyon. Having experienced the joy of macro photography with the Olympus MCON-P01 macro converter, my wife is all set for the real thing and she is now a proud owner of the highly acclaimed Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 60mm F/2.8 macro lens. This lens is lightweight but well-built and about 80% longer in length than the M.Zuiko 45mm F/1.8 which is another Olympus prime lens with many positive users feed back. For us the 60mm F/2.8 macro is a more versatile and useful lens for the type of photography that Elaine engage in. We treat lenses and cameras like an artist's tool set that are acquired based on its ability in adding value to our creative pursuit.
